Wireshark can crash when processing certain network data
published 3 months ago
Summary
Wireshark versions 4.4.0 through 4.4.16 and 4.6.0 through 4.6.6 may stop working if it receives specially crafted network traffic that exploits a flaw in its protocol parser. This can cause a denial of service, meaning the application becomes unavailable until it is restarted. Update to a newer, patched version of Wireshark as soon as possible to prevent the crash.
