Rocky Linux qemu-kvm allows local privilege escalation

published 12 days ago
Summary

The qemu-kvm component used for virtual machines on Rocky Linux can let a malicious user on the same host gain higher system privileges by exploiting a shortcut file trick. This could let an attacker run programs with the same rights as the host administrator. Install the latest Rocky Linux qemu-kvm update to close the gap and apply the other listed fixes.
