Polkit lets a local user gain higher privileges
published 9 years ago
Summary
The polkit component used in Azure environments can be tricked by a regular user to break out of a limited session and act with higher rights. This could let an insider perform actions they should not be able to. Update polkit to the latest version or apply the vendor’s security patch to stop this behavior.
What to do
- Update azure polkit to version 123-1.
