AMD Kernel Driver: Out-of-bounds Buffer Access Risk
published 5 months ago
Summary
The AMD kernel driver for Linux has a security issue that could allow an attacker to access memory outside of allowed boundaries. This could potentially lead to system crashes or unauthorized data access. To fix this, the driver now checks the size of a buffer to prevent such access.
What to do
- Update linux kernel to version 7.0.9.
