Apache NiFi may mishandle crafted data from Bouncy Castle
published 4 days ago
Summary
The Apache NiFi software uses the Bouncy Castle library for cryptographic functions. A flaw in early versions of Bouncy Castle can cause NiFi to process specially crafted data incorrectly, potentially leading to unexpected behavior or security risks. Updating NiFi to a version that includes a newer Bouncy Castle release, or manually upgrading the Bouncy Castle library, resolves the issue.
What to do
- Update cleanstart apache-nifi to version 2.9.0-r6.
