Argo Workflows can be misled by crafted brace expressions
published 5 days ago
Summary
The Argo Workflows tool relies on the juliangruber brace-expansion library, which can be confused by specially crafted input to behave incorrectly. This could let an attacker cause the workflow system to perform actions it shouldn't. Updating Argo Workflows to a version that includes the fixed library, or applying the vendor's recommended patch, will mitigate the risk.
What to do
- Update cleanstart argo-workflows to version 3.6.19-r5.
