Linux kernel could misinterpret network packets
published 6 months ago
Summary
A part of the Linux operating system that handles virtual networking may misread specially crafted network messages, potentially leading to errors or crashes. This happens because the code did not check the size of certain data fields before processing them. Updating the system to the latest kernel version fixes the issue by adding proper length checks.
What to do
- Update echo linux to version 6.1.170-1.
