Linux kernel before 6.6.158.1‑1 can read past memory

published 1 month ago
Summary

The core part of Linux that runs on many servers and cloud services has a coding error that could allow programs to read data outside of their allotted area. This could let an attacker see information they shouldn’t. Upgrade the kernel to version 6.6.158.1‑1 or later, or apply the vendor’s security update for Azure kernels, to close the gap.
