echo/linux header files may reveal kernel weaknesses
published 1 year ago
Summary
The echo/linux package only provides header files, not running code, so a container using it is not directly exposed to kernel bugs. Still, if the host kernel has a security flaw, the headers could help an attacker design an exploit. Keep the host operating system up‑to‑date and restrict who can read these files.
What to do
- Update echo linux to version 6.8.9-1.
