CVE-2026-96283: Flatpak pulls cannot be stopped by other users

CVE-2026-96283 · published 21 days ago
Summary

Flatpak on Canonical, Debian, and Red Hat Enterprise Linux lets one user cancel another user's download, but the cancellation only hides it from tracking, so the original user cannot stop the download. This can leave unwanted data being transferred and use up bandwidth. Update Flatpak to the latest version or apply the provided patch to fix the cancellation handling.

What to do
  • Update debian flatpak to version 1.14.10-1~deb12u2.
