CVE-2026-95270: changedetection.io password check reveals timing differences

CVE-2026-95270 · published 27 days ago
Summary

The changedetection.io web tool (versions up to 0.60.7) compares passwords in a way that takes slightly longer when the correct password is used. An attacker who can measure these tiny time differences could guess passwords, although doing so is difficult and requires many attempts. Update to a newer version or apply the vendor's patch as soon as possible to eliminate the timing gap.
