CVE-2026-94489: OctoPrint can be tricked into revealing any file

CVE-2026-94489 · published 28 days ago
Summary

The file‑download feature in OctoPrint version 1.0.0 does not properly check the name of the file being requested. An attacker who can send a specially crafted request from anywhere on the Internet could cause the system to read files outside the intended folder, potentially exposing sensitive data. Update OctoPrint to a newer version or apply the vendor’s patch to enforce proper file‑name validation.
