CVE-2026-82973: docker-mailbox may let attackers insert extra IMAP commands

CVE-2026-82973 · published 1 month ago
Summary

Versions of docker-mailbox before 0.4.13 can be tricked into sending additional commands to the email server when an attacker supplies specially crafted folder, UID, or search values. This is possible only when bearer‑token authentication is not enabled, allowing an unauthenticated remote user to tamper with the mailbox connection. Resolve it by upgrading to version 0.4.13 or later, or by enabling bearer‑token authentication and restricting input to trusted sources.

What to do

The CVE record does not list a fixed version. Check the vendor's site or the advisory links below - a fix may already be released.
