CVE-2026-77005: Code Monkeys Proposals plugin lets any user delete any file

CVE-2026-77005 · published 1 month ago
Summary

The Code Monkeys Proposals WordPress plugin (up to version 1.0.1) does not check a user’s permissions or verify the file path when a delete request is made. Because of this, any logged‑in user, even a low‑privilege subscriber, can remove arbitrary files on the server, potentially allowing a full site takeover. Apply the latest plugin update or disable the plugin until it is patched, and restrict file‑deletion functions to trusted administrators only.
