CVE-2026-74037: Wazuh Manager lets revoked admins keep access
CVE-2026-74037 · published 2 days ago
Summary
The Wazuh manager (versions 4.0.0 through 4.14.7) does not properly block authentication tokens for users who have had their admin rights removed. This means a former administrator can still log in and retain full privileges. Update the Wazuh manager to version 4.14.8 or later to ensure revoked access is correctly enforced.
What to do
- Update wazuh wazuh-manager to version 4.14.8 or later.

Original advisory text
Wazuh 4.0.0 before 4.14.8 Session Invalidation Bypass in check_token
Wazuh 4.0.0 before 4.14.8 fails to invalidate issued tokens for run_as users with zero static roles, because check_token never consults the blacklist. Attackers with revoked administrator grants can continue authenticating and self-link the administrator role to permanently retain privileged access.
