CVE-2026-56988: Bluetooth driver can let local attacker gain system rights

CVE-2026-56988 · published 2 months ago
Summary

A part of the Bluetooth driver that runs in the background may mistakenly reuse memory that has already been cleared when two actions happen at the same time. This mistake can let someone with access to the computer take full control of the system without needing the user to click anything. Install the latest security updates from the vendor and consider disabling Bluetooth when it is not needed.
