CVE-2026-48749: Incus containers can let attackers read or write host files

CVE-2026-48749 · published 13 days ago
Summary

Incus may accept a specially crafted container image that includes a symbolic link pointing to the host's file system. This lets an attacker read sensitive files like password data or create/modify files on the host with full privileges. Import only trusted images and keep Incus updated to a version that blocks this behavior.
