CVE-2026-123208: noname desktop app (v1.11.2‑v1.11.6.1) lets web pages modify local files

CVE-2026-123208 · published 1 day ago
Summary

The noname application for Windows includes a hidden web server that runs on the computer without requiring any login. Because the server accepts requests from any website, a malicious site could tell it to change or delete files that belong to the app, including code that runs with the same rights as the logged‑in user. Update to a newer version or apply the vendor’s patch to disable the local server and restrict file access.

What to do

The CVE record does not list a fixed version. Check the vendor's site or the advisory links below - a fix may already be released.
