CVE-2026-115748: Apache Vysper lets logged‑in users hijack other accounts
CVE-2026-115748 · published 9 days ago
Summary
The Apache Vysper chat server library fails to verify a user's identity when processing registration requests, so anyone who is already logged in can take over other users' accounts. This risk applies to all versions of the library, and no fix will be released because the project is no longer maintained. Organizations should stop using Apache Vysper and move to a different, actively supported chat server solution.
