CVE-2026-112029: diem up to 5.1.3 allows easy password cracking
CVE-2026-112029 · published today
Summary
The diEM software (versions through 5.1.3) uses a weak method to store passwords, making them easier to guess if an attacker can get access to the password file. This risk is only realistic for someone who already has local access to the server, but it could let them recover user credentials. Update to a newer version of diEM or replace the password‑handling code with a stronger hashing method as soon as possible.
