CVE-2026-111225 · published 3 days ago
Summary

Versions 2.5.0 through 2.9.0 of Netgate pfSense CE let an authenticated VPN client add specially crafted data to their certificate name or username, which the system then runs as a low‑privilege user. This could let the client execute additional commands on the firewall, potentially affecting network security. Upgrade to a patched version or apply the vendor’s recommended configuration changes to stop the misuse.
