CVE-2026-108693: ImageMagick may run malicious code when converting PDFs

CVE-2026-108693 · published 25 days ago
Summary

ImageMagick on Windows can be tricked into launching an executable named gswin64c.exe without checking where it comes from. If a malicious gswin64c.exe file is placed in the same folder, it can run with ImageMagick's rights whenever a PDF, PostScript, or EPS file is processed. Replace ImageMagick with the latest update or ensure only trusted files are in the working directory and that Ghostscript is properly registered.
