CVE-2026-108015: HCL Notes Client can be tricked by fake certificates

CVE-2026-108015 · published today
Summary

The HCL Notes Client relies on several eMudhra certificates whose private keys were exposed. Because of this, an attacker on the network could pretend to be a legitimate website and read or change any data the client sends over secure connections. Update the client with the latest security patch or replace the compromised certificates as soon as possible.

Original advisory text
eMudhra Compromised Certificate vulnerability impacts HCL Notes Client
Private keys for eight eMudhra intermediate CA certificates have been compromised https://emudhra.we-have-a-problem.com/ , which impacts certificate trust for outbound network request features of HCL Notes Client.  An unauthenticated network attacker could spoof server certificates to execute a man in the middle (MITM) attack, enabling them to intercept and/or modify the content of outbound TLS connections.
