CVE-2025-64349: ELOG lets logged‑in users edit other users’ profiles

CVE-2025-64349 · published 1 year ago
Summary

The ELOG system does not check that a user is changing only their own profile, so a signed‑in user could alter another person’s email address and then reset the password to take over that account. This could let an insider or a compromised account hijack other users. Apply the vendor’s update or configuration change that adds proper permission checks to prevent cross‑account edits, and review user account settings to ensure only authorized changes are allowed.

What to do

The CVE record does not list a fixed version. Check the vendor's site or the advisory links below - a fix may already be released.
