CVE-2025-29482 · published 1 year ago
Summary

The image handling library libheif version 1.19.7 can be tricked by a specially made picture to execute any program the attacker wants on the computer. This only works if the attacker can place the malicious image on a machine that uses this library. Updating libheif to a newer version or applying the vendor's patch removes the risk.
