CVE-2024-56010: Device Detector up to version 4.2.0 permits script injection

CVE-2024-56010 · published 1 year ago
Summary

The Device Detector library used to identify browsers can be tricked into echoing user‑supplied data on a web page. An attacker who convinces a visitor to follow a crafted link could run their own code in the visitor’s browser, potentially stealing cookies or other information. Upgrade to a version newer than 4.2.0 or apply input‑sanitizing patches as soon as possible.
