CVE-2024-44070: FRRouting and RHEL BGP may read beyond data
CVE-2024-44070 · published 2 years ago
Summary
The BGP component in FRRouting (up to version 10.1) and its use on Red Hat Enterprise Linux can read more data than is actually present, potentially leading to crashes or unauthorized actions. This happens because the code does not verify the length of incoming information before processing it. Update to the latest FRRouting release or apply the vendor’s patch to ensure proper length checks.
What to do
- Update debian frr to version 10.1-0.2.
