CVE-2023-53127: Linux kernel may leave storage controller resources after removal
CVE-2023-53127 · published 1 year ago
Summary
The Linux kernel’s MPI3 storage driver could fail to clean up certain internal objects when a device is removed, potentially causing a small memory leak. This leak is unlikely to affect stability but could accumulate over time on systems that frequently add and remove such devices. Updating to a kernel version that includes the fix will resolve the issue.
What to do
- Update debian linux to version 6.1.25-1.
- Update linux kernel to version 6.2.8.
