CVE-2023-29017: vm2 sandbox can let attackers run code on host

CVE-2023-29017 · published 2 days ago
Summary

Versions of vm2 before 3.9.15 do not correctly handle certain error objects, allowing a malicious script to break out of the sandbox. This could let an attacker execute commands on the server that runs the sandbox. Update vm2 to version 3.9.15 or later to close the risk.
