CVE-2020-16600: MuPDF can crash or be manipulated by crafted PDF
CVE-2020-16600 · published 5 years ago
Summary
The MuPDF library used in Debian's mupdf package (versions up to 1.17.0‑rc1) can mishandle a PDF that contains a normal page followed by a page with incorrect image dimensions. This error may cause the program to use memory that has already been released, leading to crashes or possible code execution. Upgrade to a newer MuPDF release or apply the vendor’s recommended patch to resolve the issue.
What to do
- Update debian mupdf to version 1.17.0+ds1-1.
