CVE-2019-7261: Linear eMerge devices contain default passwords
CVE-2019-7261 · published 7 years ago
Summary
The Linear eMerge Essential and Elite firmware versions ship with passwords that are built-in and known to anyone who reads the documentation. Because these credentials are not unique, an attacker who discovers them can gain unauthorized access to the device’s control interface. Replace the default passwords with strong, unique ones and apply any available firmware updates that remove the hard‑coded credentials.
