CVE-2019-6684: F5 BIG‑IP modules may lose broadcast packets, enabling attacks

CVE-2019-6684 · published 6 years ago
Summary

Several F5 BIG‑IP features—including Access Policy Manager, Advanced Firewall Manager, Analytics, Application Acceleration Manager, and Application Security Manager—can drop broadcast traffic when it is rebroadcast to secondary virtual blades. This loss can be abused with specially crafted fragmented packets to launch attacks against the system. Apply the latest software updates from F5 or follow their guidance to mitigate the issue.
