CVE-2019-6640: F5 BIG‑IP devices leak config via SNMP
CVE-2019-6640 · published 7 years ago
Summary
Certain versions of F5 BIG‑IP traffic, acceleration, firewall, analytics, and access policy managers can send sensitive configuration details in plain text when using SNMP version 2. This means an attacker who can listen on the network could see passwords and settings. Update the devices to a version where the issue is fixed or disable SNMPv2 and use a secure management method.
What to do
The CVE record does not list a fixed version. Check the vendor's site or the advisory links below - a fix may already be released.
