CVE-2019-12288: VStarcam cameras allow unauthenticated firmware update takeover

CVE-2019-12288 · published 7 years ago
Summary

The web interface on VStarcam 100T and 200V cameras lets anyone upload a fake firmware file without logging in. This can change the device's web service, network settings, and user accounts, giving an attacker full control of the camera. Apply the vendor's firmware update that adds authentication or block remote firmware uploads until the fix is installed.
