CVE-2018-6343: Proxygen may crash when processing TLS 1.3 certificate frames

CVE-2018-6343 · published 7 years ago
Summary

The Facebook Proxygen library can stop working if it receives a specially crafted certificate or certificate request message over a TLS 1.3 connection. This happens because the code assumes a secondary authentication component is present when it is not, leading to a crash. Updating Proxygen to the version released after November 19, 2018 resolves the issue.
