CVE-2018-4855: SICLOCK TC100 and TC400 expose passwords in clear text

CVE-2018-4855 · published 8 years ago
Summary

Both the TC100 and TC400 devices keep passwords in plain text inside their configuration files and transmit them over the network without encryption. This can allow anyone who can view the files or watch the network traffic to learn the passwords and gain unauthorized access. Apply any available firmware updates, change the passwords, and consider using encrypted network connections or isolating the devices from sensitive networks.
