CVE-2017-5018: Chrome app launcher can run malicious code from web page

CVE-2017-5018 · published 9 years ago
Summary

Older versions of Google Chrome for Windows, macOS, Linux, and Android did not lock down the app launcher page well enough. This lets a specially crafted web page add its own scripts or HTML to that page, potentially letting an attacker run unwanted actions. Updating Chrome to the latest version fixes the problem.
