CVE-2017-2706: Huawei Mate 9 firmware allows file replacement via Push module
CVE-2017-2706 · published 8 years ago
Summary
The Push update component on Huawei Mate 9 phones does not check the names of files it extracts, so a malicious update could write over system files. This could let an attacker change important files and disrupt the phone's operation. Apply any available firmware updates from Huawei or contact support to obtain a patched version.
