CVE-2017-14731: LibOFX 0.9.12 can crash when processing malicious file

CVE-2017-14731 · published 9 years ago
Summary

The LibOFX library version 0.9.12 may read beyond the end of its memory when it handles a specially crafted OFX file, causing the program to stop working. This can be triggered by anyone who can supply such a file, for example through a file‑upload feature or a data‑import tool. Update to a newer version of LibOFX or avoid processing untrusted OFX files until the fix is applied.
