CVE-2017-12076: Synology DiskStation DSM can crash from port‑forward abuse

CVE-2017-12076 · published 9 years ago
Summary

If someone who can log into your Synology DiskStation uses the port‑forward feature in a certain way, they can fill up the device’s memory and make it stop working. This creates a denial‑of‑service condition, meaning legitimate users lose access. Update the DiskStation Manager to the latest release (6.1.1‑15088 or newer) to close the problem.
