CVE-2016-2914: IBM Rational Publishing Engine may let logged-in users run code

CVE-2016-2914 · published 10 years ago
Summary

The Document Builder feature in IBM Rational Publishing Engine 2.0.1 (before ifix002) lets authenticated users upload files with unexpected extensions, which can lead to the system executing malicious code. This could allow an attacker with a valid account to take control of the server or disrupt operations. Apply the latest IBM fix (ifix002 or later) or restrict file uploads to approved types to protect your environment.
