CVE-2015-9118: Qualcomm Snapdragon firmware may let attackers corrupt memory
CVE-2015-9118 · published 8 years ago
Summary
Android devices using certain Qualcomm Snapdragon chips (MDM9615, MDM9625, MDM9635M, SD 400, SD 410) and running a security patch older than April 2018 have a weakness in a low‑level driver. An attacker who can supply crafted data could cause the driver to write beyond its intended memory area, potentially leading to unauthorized code execution. Update the device to a security patch released after April 5 2018 or apply the vendor’s firmware update to fix the problem.
