CVE-2015-8572: Autodesk Design Review can run code from malicious images

CVE-2015-8572 · published 10 years ago
Summary

Autodesk Design Review versions before the 2013 Hotfix 2 can be tricked by specially crafted BMP, FLI, PCX or GIF files into executing unwanted programs. An attacker could send such a file to a user, and if opened, the hidden code could run on the user’s computer. Update the software with the 2013 Hotfix 2 or later, or disable opening untrusted image files.
