CVE-2015-8512: Firefox OS lockscreen lets nearby attackers guess passcode unlimited

CVE-2015-8512 · published 10 years ago
Summary

Firefox OS versions before 2.5 do not limit how many times someone can try the lockscreen passcode. This means a person standing near the device could keep entering guesses until they get in. Upgrade the device to Firefox OS 2.5 or later, which adds proper lockout after failed attempts, or use additional security measures such as a stronger passcode.
