CVE-2015-3977: Schneider Electric IMT25 Magnetic Flow DTM can be hijacked

CVE-2015-3977 · published 10 years ago
Summary

The IMT25 magnetic flow transmitter running firmware older than version 1.500.004 can be tricked by an authenticated user into running unwanted code or crashing the device through a crafted HART response. This could let an attacker take control of the meter or cause it to stop working, disrupting data collection. Update the device to firmware 1.500.004 or later and restrict network access to trusted users to mitigate the risk.
