CVE-2015-3871 · published 11 years ago
Summary
Older Android versions before 5.1.1 have a flaw in the built‑in media player that can be triggered by a specially crafted video or audio file. An attacker can use this to run unwanted programs on the phone or cause it to stop working. Update devices to Android 5.1.1 or later, or install any security patches provided by the device maker, and avoid opening media files from unknown sources.
