On macOS versions older than 10.10.4, a timing issue in system tools can be tricked into accepting software that hasn't been properly signed. This could let someone with access to the computer install low‑level code that runs with full system privileges. Update the operating system to 10.10.4 or later, or apply any provided patches, to close the gap.
