CVE-2015-1109: iPhone OS leaks VPN credentials in log files

CVE-2015-1109 · published 11 years ago
Summary

iPhone OS versions prior to 8.3 keep VPN usernames and passwords in log files that can be read by anyone with physical access to the device. This makes it possible for nearby attackers to steal sensitive connection information. Update the device to iOS 8.3 or later, or remove the VPN configuration logs if an update is not immediately possible.
