CVE-2015-1090: iPhone OS before 8.3 retains HSTS after clearing Safari
CVE-2015-1090 · published 11 years ago
Summary
On iPhone OS versions earlier than 8.3, clearing Safari’s browsing history does not remove the stored HSTS (strict transport security) information. This leftover data can be read by a malicious app to learn which sites were visited securely. Upgrade the device to iOS 8.3 or later, or avoid using the history‑clear feature on older iPhones.
