CVE-2014-7330: XtendCU Mobile Android app can be tricked by fake SSL certificates

CVE-2014-7330 · published 12 years ago
Summary

The XtendCU Mobile version 1.0.28 for Android does not properly check the digital certificates used in secure connections. This lets an attacker place themselves between the app and its server, impersonate the server, and capture data such as login credentials. Install any newer version of the app that fixes the check, or contact the developer for an update, and consider using trusted network filters until the issue is resolved.
